Introduction to Merchant SKU Page

You can create merchant SKUs and map them with store SKUs to manage the inventory. This article mainly introduces the merchant SKU list.

Terms Introduction

- Image: The images uploaded when creating merchant SKU. (How to set/update the merchant SKU image)
- Sourcing: Click to use 1688 Sourcing.
- SKU Name &Merchant Code: Merchant SKU name, which can be used to generate labels;Merchant code is automatically generated by the system when the SKU is created.
- Distribution Mark: Dsitribution products claimed to your warehouse will show this mark.
- SKU Title: The title filled in when creating merchant SKU.
- Category: The category of merchant SKU. This category is created on BigSeller, to facilitate the search for merchant SKUs
- Serial Number Management: Here to quick enable/disable serial number managment for SKUs.
- Mapped Store SKU: It shows the store SKUs that have been mapped with the merchant SKU.
- Reference Cost Price: Reference cost price. After filling, when you create a purchase order and stock-in list, BigSeller will automatically fill in this reference price as the cost.
- Reference Selling Price: A selling price of your SKU but just for reference.
- Total On Hand: The total On Hand stock of Merchant SKU, you can also hover over the specific number to view the SKU details for each warehouse.

- Base Unit/Conversion Unit: Display the base and conversion unit if the SKU has enabled Multi-Unit management. Hover over the specific number to view the conversion unit details.
- Net Weight &Size : The net weight & Size of the merchant SKU, which needs to be filled in by yourself. You can set the SKU's net weight and gross weight to calculate shipping fees and financial costs.
- Expiry Period/Expiry Alert: Expiry Alert requires corresponding rules enabled in Alert Center. Once set, when remaining expiry period is below the alert days, the system automatically sends alerts. You can quick check if you enabled it here.
- Note: You can add notes for the merchant SKU for reference. You may also quick check the Merchant SKU note when clicking the icon on the right of SKU Name.
- Distribution Status: Quick check if you enabled distribution for certain products.
- Basic Price: The base price used for external sales or distribution quotations of distributed products.
- Minimum Resale Price: Once set, any order where the distributor's SKU unit price falls below this resale price will be flagged as below minimum resale price on both the supplier's and distributor's side.
- Time: Record the time when the SKU is created and updated.
- Brand: For products of the same category but from different brands, you can assign brands to analyze sales performance by brand. You can create or bulk import brand names on the SKU Brand page. You can use brand as a filter.
- Tags: Use different tags to quickly identify and categorize products, such as new arrivals, slow-moving products, regular products, etc. You can create or bulk import tags on the SKU Tags page. You can use tags as a filter.
- SKU Alias: Enter an alternative name for the SKU. This allows you to assign bilingual names to SKUs, making it easier for global teams to collaborate, or to record commonly used SKU names within your team.
- You can also print out these SKU information on Merchant SKU label.

Available Actions on Merchant SKU Page
1) Search
On the Merchant SKU page, you can search by SKU Name, SKU Title, SKU Alias, GTIN, Merchant Code, Conversion Unit Barcode, SPU Number, Merchant SKU Notes and Sub-SKU to quickly find what you're looking for. Bulk search is also available for some certain conditions.

2) Bulk Actions

- Print Label, you can print labels in bulk
- Update Reference Price, you can update the reference cost & selling price in bulk
- Delete, you can delete the merchant SKUs in bulk
- Add & Remove Tag: Bulk add/remove tags for certain SKUs.
- Set Brand: Buld set brands for certain SKUs.
- Set Date of sales, used to calculate daily average outbound and determine if a product is slow-moving in the sales report.
- Expiry Management Settings, you can set the expiry period and expiry alert (days) for SKUs.
- Serial Number Management: Bulk enable/disable serial number management for certain SKUs.
3) Set Category

4) Import & Export
Import

- Create & Update Merchant SKU, you can import file to create or update merchant SKUs in bulk, or import file to update merchant SKU information in bulk (SKU name, weight, size, images).
- Create & Update Combination SKU, you can import files to create or update combination SKU in bulk.
- Create Multiple Variation, you can import files to create SPU/Multiple Variation.
Export

Export Merchant SKU, you can export all or selected merchant SKU information

Export Mapping Relationship, you can export the mapping between store SKUs and merchant SKUs
💡 Notes
- You can also choose whether to include the merchant SKU image when exporting. To enable this, go to Settings > Export Setting and turn on Export Merchant SKU Image. This applies not only to the Merchant SKU page but also to the Inventory List and Purchase Order pages.

Date of Sale field has been added to the SKU Sheet, placed after Reference Price. The exported field's cell format will be like 07 Mar 2025

If the exported data contains Combination SKUs, an additional Combination SKU Sheet will be created alongside the existing SKU Sheet. This sheet will display detailed data for Combination SKUs, listing the individual SKUs included and their respective quantities in different columns (e.g., SKU1 + Qty; SKU2 + Qty; SKU3 + Qty...). The SKU Sheet will still retain the basic information of both single and combination SKUs.
The exported sheet will be as follows:

5) Add Merchant SKU

Add Single SKU: Manual Create single SKU and map to store SKUs

Add Combination SKU: After creating a single SKU, you can choose to create a combination SKU from the created merchant SKUs.

Add Multiple Variation: For products with multiple variants, create an SPU and add SKUs as variants for easier management and quick search.
6) Single Action
Under Action Column, you can copy, edit, delete, and map store SKUs one by one.
