How can we help?

What is estimated profit?

By estimating the profit of Shopee, Lazada and TikTok orders, BigSeller will pop up a reminder for negative/0 profit orders when packing orders, so that you can timely detect and intervene in negative/0 profit orders to avoid losses.

1. Estimated Profits

1.1 Shopee Estimated Profit

1) Estimated Profit = Estimated Order Income - Cost Charge

  • Estimated Order Income = Products Subtotal - Estimated Shipping Subtotal - Vouchers & discounts - Platform fees + Adjustment Fees
  • If the order profit is negative or zero, the value will be displayed in red. When arranging the order, if the profit is negative, BigSeller will prompt you whether to continue processing the order. If you wish to continue, simply click "Confirm".

2)  Estimated Profit Margin = {Estimated Profit / (Products Subtotal - Seller Vouchers - Seller Coins) }*100%

1.2 Estimated Profit for TikTok and Lazada

1) Estimated Profit = Order Income - Charges

  • If the order profit is negative or zero, the value will be displayed in red. When arranging the order, if the profit is negative, BigSeller will prompt you whether to continue processing the order. If you wish to continue, simply click "Confirm".

2) Estimated Profit Margin = (Estimated Profit ÷ Order Income) * 100%

4) Only in New Orders, In Process Orders/Shipping, Voided Orders lists can you check the estimated profits;
5) Sub-accounts need to enable the permissions of [Cost Price] and [Order Price Info], then can check the estimated profit data. (Setting > Permission Settings > Roles > Add/ Edit Roles > Sensitive Data > Enable Cost Price and Order Price Info permissions).

3. FAQs

Q1: Where does the data of estimated profit obtain from?
A1: All the data are obtained from Platform API, except Commodity Cost.

Q2: Where is the data on commodity cost obtained?

A2: If the store SKUs of the order all map the merchant SKUs, system would take the cost of merchant SKU from the stock-out warehouse when the order is synced in BigSeller.
  • For single SKU, system will take the value based on the [Merchant SKU Cost Settings] you set. (What is Merchant SKU Cost Settings?)
  • For combination SKU: system would take the cost of merchant SKU from the stock-out warehouse. If the cost is 0, BigSeller will take the reference price of merchant SKU.
*If the shipping warehouse or mapping relationship is changed, system will recalculate the cost price based on the new shipping warehouse or mapping relationship.

Q3: Why is the commodity cost/estimated profit displayed as "Not all merchant SKUs mapped"?

A3: Because at least 1 or more store SKUs in this order do not map with merchant SKU. Please click the order details to map the merchant SKU first. Click here to learn more.

Q4: Why is the Lazada/TikTok estimated profit displayed as "The commission rate for this store has not been set yet"?
A4: For orders on Lazada and Tiktok Shop platforms, you need to set up an estimated commission rate then the system will calculate the estimated profit.

Q5: If the SKU mapping relationship changes, will the estimated profit be recalculated?

A5: Yes. If you add/change/delete the SKU mapping relationship for the order, its commodity cost and estimated profit would change accordingly.

Q6: Why can't I see this data?
A6: If your account is a sub-account, please enable the permission first: Setting > Permission Settings > Roles > Add/ Edit Roles > Sensitive Data > Enable Cost Price and Order Price Info permissions
