This article will guide you on how to complete the wave settings for WMS.

1. Wave Types

There are eight types of waves.

2. Picking Method

Picking While Sorting: the picker needs to push the picking cart into warehouse to pick goods, while still correctly placing the SKU on the corresponding basket of the picking cart;

Sort After Picking: the picker only needs to undertake the picking task, picking all SKUs within the wave into the same picking cart without caring about sorting to the correct basket. Sorting tasks can be completed by other staff.

3. Method to Print Shipping Label

You can select the following method to print the shipping label.

① Scan Pick List -- You can print the shipping label by scanning the barcode on the pick list.
Available for all types of waves.
② Scan Picking Basket Number -- This is suitable for users who use picking carts to pick goods. After picking, they can directly scan the barcode of the picking basket to print the waybill for packaging.
Available for waves of Specified SKU, Best Seller, Single Item(multiple qty), Single Item Combination, Multiple Items, and Manually Created.
③ Scan Merchant SKU Label -- You can print the shipping label by scanning the merchant SKU label.
Available for all types of waves.
④ Print in Secondary Picking -- In [Secondary Picking], if all products in one sorting box have been sorted, the system will automatically call the printing plugin to print the shipping label.
Available for waves of Specifies SKU, Best Seller, Single Item(multiple qty), Single Item Combination, Multiple Items, and Manually Created.

4. Package Match Method

During the scanning packaging process using waves, you can automatically match specific package information based on the SKU entered during scanning.
This can allow packaging staff to know the SKU information (type + quantity) of the package in advance, and also avoid blind matching of packages based on SKUs, improving packaging efficiency. At the same time, it can also help users avoid exceeding the number of SKUs in the package during the input process, reducing the probability of matching errors.

① Sequential Matching: After you scan the SKU, the system will match sequentially according to the package serial number within the wave from small to large, and if the match is successful, the SKU information of the package will be loaded. The subsequent scanning of SKUs can only be done by scanning the remaining SKUs of the current package for inspection and packaging.

② Pre-Matching: After you scan the SKU, the system will display all packages containing the SKU in this wave, and after you select the specified package, the SKU information of this package will be loaded, and the subsequent scanning of SKUs can only scan the remaining SKUs of the current package for inspection and packaging.

③ Post-Matching: You can scan any SKU, only when the type and quantity of SKUs scanned and entered are the same as the packages that didn't print the shipping labels within the wave, the inspection and packaging can be completed.
